What should be the first word that explains a seven month absence from this blog? There isn’t really just one word that can describe why my blog has been left abandoned for so long, so let me start by saying just one word: sorry. My break was only meant to be short, but things in my personal life kept consuming my time and just when I thought I was ready to return, something else happened. The delays were really a culmination of issues that combined to create a massive delay and I want to rectify this for those of you who are willing to overlook my prolonged absence.
I am really proud of Brad Bare and I look forward to returning to posting regularly again soon. I do think the pressure of posting once or twice every day contributed to the problem, because I was publishing on average of 30 posts a month and sometimes 60 posts a month, which is not sustainable for one person who only works on this blog in his spare time before and after work. This created a lot of pressure, so I want to make some changes that will result in my blog being more sustainable for the long term.
During the past 11 years, I have published 3,741 posts, that have attracted 4,944 comments, with 2,393 of these coming from me. People (whether real or bots) have also tried to get in on the action, with my systems blocking 244,728 malicious login attempts and 404,076 spam comments. As you might be able to appreciate from these numbers, my database is totally massive! I am also using 90% of my available disk space, so I’m going to have to expand my available resources or make some changes.
I have just opened my mailbox and I am swamped by the number of messages there, which I’m going to start going through and I will respond to as many messages as I can. Right now I am contemplating how I can best make a return that will keep Brad Bare relevant and interesting. When I first started writing about bareback sex, barebacking was considered a fetish and a taboo subject, but not anymore due to medical advancements that have resulted in barebacking becoming more mainstream, so I need to figure out how I am going to approach this.
I would like to ask whether you have any suggestions about what you would like to see once I make a return. I am thinking about bringing this blog back to its core roots, which is to showcase bareback websites through reviews, write more in-depth articles about porn and sex, and make this a place where those of us who enjoy raw sex can come to hang out with like-minded people.
There is a significant amount of maintenance work that needs to be done behind the scenes, so I am going to spend the next month or so going through everything to bring the technology up to the latest version and implement some new features, as I have already noticed a few issues that need to be attended to. If you have any suggestions or ideas about what you would like to see, please reach out and let me know, as I would love to hear from you.
